The high levels Dioxin in Nose-cho

The high levels Dioxin were detected in the soil near the incinerator in Nose-cho Osaka Prefecture.

The Dioxin levels exceeding 1,000 picograms per gram of this soil were detected in soil at two out of the 25 sites studied in December 1998.

The Dioxin levels were 1,800 picograms per gram with soil taken from area about 50 meters north of this incinerator and 1,300 picograms per gram with soil taken from area about 120 meters north-northwest of this incinerator.
