英語の授業

　生駒市では、約６年前からＡＬＴの先生を各校に招いて授業をしています。（ＡＬＴとは、Assistant Language Teacherの略）
ＡＬＴの先生が来校されたときには、北中の英語に先生といっしょに、教科書を使った授業ではなく、英語のゲームや、簡単な英語劇をするなど英会話を中心にした授業が進められています。
現在は半年に１ヶ月間一つの学校に滞在され、英語の授業だけでなく教室でいっしょに給食を食べたりされます。
生駒北中学校に来られたマット・スティーブンズ先生は、日本語がとても上手で、私たちにとてもわかりやすく楽しい英語を教えて下さいます。
みんなマット先生が大好きで、休み時間や給食の時間なども積極的に話しかけています。


マット先生からのメッセージ　　　


Hello.My name is Matt Stephens.
I'm from Harrisburg，Pennsylvania in the northeastern United States.
I've been teaching English in Ikoma's public junior high schools since 1995.
I've also been studying Japanese for seven years now.
Through teaching and studying language.
I've found some things that work well for foreign language learning.
Here some tips:




To build a fundamental English base,memorize all of the new vocabulary and grammar points in the school textbook and any other books you have.
Reinforce them by reading and writing sentences,and have a friend or a teacher test you to make sure you have learnd them well.



To improve your English listening skills,listen to native English often.
One way to do this is to listen to the English conversation programs and other programs in English on the radio and television(in Japan)every week.
Another way is to use the cassette tapes and video tapes that come with some English textbooks.
A third way is to listen to the music of America and other English-speaking countries.
Remembering lyrics and singing songs in English can be a lot of fun.


To improve your English conversation skills, speak in English with a friend or a foreigner on a regular basis.
There are lots of foreigners living in Nara and Ikoma,and there are many events that bring Japanese and foreigners together.
One place you can ask for more information is NIFS in Nara(0742-27-1822).



Learning a foreign language can open up a whole new world for you.

マット先生の授業

　今年は、１月〜２月に北中に来られました。
　２月２１日（土）の新入生一日入学では、１年４組の英語の授業を
新一年生が参観しました。
１クラス５分ずつぐらいでしたが、いっしょに授業に参加することができ、とても楽しそうでした。


この写真は、一日入学での１年４組の様子です。


生駒北小学校や普賢寺小学校の６年生も一緒に、楽しそうな雰囲気が伝わってきますね。
みんなどんな会話をしているのでしょう。
